Play Fox and Geese on One Device
Set one phone, tablet, or computer between you and start right away. There is no room to create, no sign-in, and no connection to wait for. Geese move first. Move, pass the device across, and decide on takebacks before the first game.
Follow the Turn
The status bar tells you whether geese or the fox are up. Tap your piece, then a legal point. Tapping the wrong side or an illegal point does not spend the turn, so pass the device across only after the move is complete.
Legal Does Not Mean Best
Most beginner debates come down to three questions: is a jump still open, is the geese wall still tight, and can the fox still slip into the south arm? The board only accepts legal Fox and Geese moves. A move can be legal and still leave a landing square.
Swap Sides After Each Game
Because geese always open, the fairest short set gives each person one game as geese. The move list records every step and jump, so you can replay the turn when a capture appeared or the fox was boxed in.
